This little moment is so touching because despite how angry Castle might’ve still been at Beckett after their fight, he still can’t help looking away for a moment after he sees that she’s crying because he can’t bare to see her like that. And I also love how Beckett’s hand is on Castle’s chest during the whole time that she talks to him.
You never told him how you stood in line for an hour just to get your book signed? How his novels got you through your mother’s death?
#all i can think about is how his books helped her through the darkest time in her life #years and YEARS before they even met #and now #in all these moments where she’s uncertain and scared she asks him for his words #his stories #to give her some hope #to give her strength to keep going #and i can’t help thinking she’s remembering how he unknowingly saved her life all those years back #except this time it’s not just words on a page because he’s actually THERE with her #everything comes full circle so perfectly #i legitimately do not understand how this ship exists
Seriously, this couldn’t be anymore perfect. I love the give and take here. She’s giving him everything she has, asking him to take it. And how he hesitates before he gives in. Just genius. And so, so realistic. This freaking scene. It owns me.
It’s gorgeous. I mean, the scene and the acting itself are beautiful, but them with the lighting and the cinematography? Gorgeous.
Bless the decision to have her sit through a thunderstorm before this scene. It just… adds something.
